The Ride 4 Pets was co-founded in Jan 2001 by Brian Selzer and Susan Milton. Both had a history of doing animal aid through the Humane Society and decided to do what they do best and that is raise money to help those that do the physical hands on rescue work. They have worked on this project ever since and helped a number of animals along the way. Avid bikers they knew thought that a ride of this nature would be fun for the bikers and beneficial for the animals that needed to be rescued.
Ride 4 PETS is about saving as many unwanted and abused animals as possible, with the help of donations raised throughout the year by our team of volunteers. Our main focus is on the annual fund raising event, which we hold in September each year. Traditionally we start the event in one location with a ride that ends in a second location which includes a BBQ lunch, entertainment and the giving away of lots of prizes. We welcome all types of road legal motorized vehicles at our event.
Thanks to the generous support of organizations such as the Supershow Motorcycle show (www.supershowevents.com) and the Toronto Sportsmen’s show (www.sportshows.ca/Toronto) you can visit the Ride 4 PETS display booth at any of these events.
As individuals who are concerned with the growing number of abused & abandoned animals we most certainly appreciate the support of all the Ride 4 Pets sponsors and encourage everyone to join with us to ensure that we likewise reciprocate by supporting these wonderful organizations.
We look forward to seeing you and your friends at our event in September so that we can continue to assist the animal rescue charities we support, whose life work is to aid in the humane treatment of all types of animals. RIDE 4 PETS is a strictly volunteer-run organization - all net proceeds go directly to benefit animal welfare groups.
So please donate generously.
